Hi Everyone! After grade 13, I ventured off to
Georgian College in Orillia where I recieved my
Diploma in Nursing (RN).
I've been working at Henry Ford Hospital in
Detroit going on my 16th year. My experience is in
the Neuroscience specialty. After working
inpatient nursing (neuro) for 9 years, I moved to
the Dept of Neurosurgery where I worked as a Nurse
Associate for 3 years. Who said brain surgery
wasn't easy? haha! From there I moved to the Dept
of Neurology where I currently work as a Nurse
Associate, Nurse Coordinator for the Neuromuscular
Division. I manage care for patients with severe
and rare nerve and muscle disorders. It has it's
occsional heartbreaking challenges, yet some of
life's most rewarding experiences. I love my job
and I work with an awesome team of top
Neurologists.
I was married in Sept 1994 to Mark Geauvreau, who
I met in my last year of Highschool. Tracey Pillon
and Brian Lehn were our Maid of Honor and Best
man. In 1998, we were blessed with the birth of
our daughter, Alysha. She is now 9 years old. She
keeps us busy with her dance lessons and her
"social schedule". We live in Kingsville and
Alysha attends Kingsville Public School soon to be
in Grade 4.
