Hi LDSS class of '87 Alum. Sorry it took so long
to get on here but it took me that long to get up
off the floor after reading that it has been 20
years since high school.
After leaving LDSS, I ventured off to Western in
search of a law degree but somehow ended up with a
honors Sociology degree (we all know how mistakes
can happen so I just lived with it).
I met a wonderful man (Andrew) while I was there
who stuck it out with me through the trials and
tribulations (and frat parties) of university life
and actually wanted to marry me afterwards. We
will be married 14 years this summer (yikes that
makes me sound old). We have 2 awesome boys, Jared
(10) and Scott (6), who keep me super busy with
extra-curricular activities - hockey, soccer,
karate, scouts, basketball. Life has a way of
playing tricks on you, doesn't it? Me, the girlie
girl, ended up living with 3 men and a house full
of trucks and sports equipment. Oh, well, I love
them anyway!
After graduation, I briefly went into banking,
then into insurance where I was part of a program
that insured all the greenhouses here in
southwestern Ontario. I quickly grew bored of that
(after 10 years) and decided it was time for a
change. Sooooo ...... I did the unimaginable - I
went back to school! I went back to the University
of Windsor and added a B.Ed to the end of my name
and now teach for the local Catholic Board.
Except for a brief time in London, we have lived
in Leamington, so I have had the pleasure of
seeing many of you and can't wait to see you all
at the reunion.
