anything with more than 8 words to a page and no
children's pictures!
I've taken to 'historical fiction' lately - stuff
about 16th century royal England/France. Also,
fictional or non about rural Italy and France...
One of my pipe dreams is to live in rural France
one day (only slightly more plausible because of
Joe's origins)...

documentaries (Black Gold was a recent one, and
Darwin's Nightmare - brilliant!) - action (not too
much senseless bloodshed), drama, foreign, a
good-guffaw comedy... pretty much anything!
if it unveils corruption and flaunts scandal
(especially from the Yanks), I eat it up...
Princess Bride (longest standing all time
favourite)....um, I'll try to list more....

| ABOUT ME |
Howdy, folks!
Life has found me in Victoria, BC with my dear
husband, Joe (married 10 years January 2008!) -
who came hither from England to be with this old
gal - and our gorgeous girls, Claire (9) and Lily
(5) and our menagerie (dog and 4 cats). I've been
here for just over 11 years, after 9 in London &
Toronto.
We own a bicycle shop and have lost ourselves in
that and parenting and living life in the blender
(it's an actual place, you know). I'm waiting for
oxygen. I have definitely not come into my own yet
(whatever the hell that means!), and am trying to
encourage that... somehow... All in all, content
with the lot I've chosen. Though I am not at all
where I thought I'd be 10 years ago!!

| TURN ON'S |
peace, silence, sleep, amazing food, ice cream, a
really good olive oil, apparently Merlot, living
in a sewer with Arrlynn, compassionate people, a
good sense of humour, Cocoa Camino 55% dark
chocolate slowly savoured...

| TURN OFF'S |
inefficient advanced green drivers, heat, cold
food (that is supposed to be hot), incompassion,
neediness, loud noises, crappy chocolate...

| HOBBIES |
I have yet to really reclaim that portion of my
life, where I do things for myself.... but, I
putter (read: waste time) on the Internet; do a
weekly voiceworks workshop that terrifies me but I
love it so much; love walking our dog by myself;
reading at bedtime (if I don't fall asleep in
Lily's bed first!); laughing raucously...
